20 Questions

“Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now” –Eckhart Tolle

Hey reader, ❤️

There is just no other way to say it… I do NOT like small talking. Which is defined as: “Polite conversation about unimportant or uncontroversial matters…”

Before you defend it, I understand it’s place in the world. That it is; “normal,” “easy,” and “thoughtless” banter two or more people can have back and forth about incredibly obvious or mundane things. I get it.

Those three words in quotations above however, do NOT describe me.

Therefore, my “being” rejects the very notion that I would have to spend energy making noise out of my mouth and listen to someone else’s mouth noise about things I could otherwise figure out by simply opening my eyes and observing my surroundings, or with a few clicks into a search bar.

In most cases, I have found few are willing/able/desiring to divulge what “I” want to know or talk about. The interactions I have with others usually equates to intentional eye contact, exchanging a kind word or two, and resuming quiet and inner world play. I’m ok with this.

My insides truly are NEVER bored.

However, In my wildest fantasy… I would be able to hear the answers to these types of questions *below* while sitting next to Bernice at the DMV, Lamar standing behind me in line at grocery check out, or… and this one is just “wild” ok? With a family member I see a few times a year and exchange hugs and 30 second pleasantries with. Who are they anyway!?!

THIS 👇 is what I want to know about you!

Do you know these answers about yourself? Do you know this about your significant other? Your children? Your friends? If not… pick one. Find a way to ask it.

See what you learn.

*return and report* 😘
